Changing of the Seasons

As we are fast approaching the Yule tide in the Southern Hemisphere, we should reflect on the year past.

Each year have its’ challenges and tests. This is what is needed for us as a people to grow and learn, as nature does…

We find ourselves, especially in the winter months, to get depressed and sad. Most write it off as just everything being so dull outside, as nothing is as green as it ought to be … But it is in fact your body telling you to reflect and listen. Our ancestors understood the Seasons and what needed to be done in each one.

Winter is a time to live of what you have sown in the summer and autumn time. The question now is … “What have you sown in the summer time? Was good or bad?”

If it was good, you will now reap the benefits of it. If it was bad, you will reap little from it.

As trees shed their leaves in winter, we must shed our bad energies and the things that do not supply us with the “Good” in life! Trees do this to supply the earth with much needed plant materials and nutrients, for a year of growth and new seeds. It also shed to relieve the need for energy that is not needed, by the leaves, for living.

Winter is the nature time to do this! Whether through some sort of ritual or just in your mind, identify the parts in the last year that did not bring you any “Good” … and let it go.

It is a time for renewal. To let DIE what needs to DIE, for something else to sprout roots and grow, as within the soil, so within you!

REFLECT … LISTEN … UNDERSTAND AND LEARN
